I began fly fishing in 1973 while living in Seattle Washington and have fly fished in most of the western states.

In 1990, I opened the Country Flyfisher Shop where I enjoy offering fly classes to all levels of fisherman. I also teach flyfishing for the local Community Education and various B&Bs in Fredericksburg Texas.

When not fishing or teaching, you can often find me busy tying saltwater and fresh water gamefish flies which are available commercially and in the Country Flyfisher Shop.

Fly fishing is fun and I stay involved with public fishing activities such as organizing events for Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Texas Womens' Flyfishers as well as having appeared on the PBS series "The New Fly Fisher".

I also co-founded the popular Heart of the Hills Flyfishers Club which was later named the Frederickburg Fly Fishers based in Fredericksburg Texas.
